I’m Amanda Rain, and — at this moment of typing — I don’t exist. A pseudonym, a soubriquet, a pen name, a nom de plume, “Amanda Rain Lui” is the name I’m trying out with this website.
I want to know if I can flow with this name. I want to know if I can convince myself to do better. Choosing a name lets me create a version of myself that I like, one that… I might love and fight for.
Where’d I get that idea? From Camila Cabello, Halsey, and the Doctor from Doctor Who.
Telling myself
“Hey, I think this girl deserves this. Deserves love. Deserves to make it. Deserves to be healthy and strong and sexy. And deserves to have cake.”
and have that girl be me.
So what happens now? Now I write.
I write myself into existence, pulling together my life, my stories, and perhaps posts from my other blogs.
But first, I need to write about me.
