About

I’m jealous of Mark Manson, Neil Gaiman, Elizabeth Gilbert, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, BrenΓ© Brown. Mel Robbins and Esther Perel.

These are the people whose lives and work and outlook I wish were mine.

I read/heard Mel saying the envy tells us what we want in life. It’s a brilliant thought because it helps me define what and who I want to be in a life that’s just full of possibility.

In my journal, I wrote, “People talk to them. They are open. They ask questions. They tell stories. They have a point of view and they have things to say. And they’re well-respected, and well-paid for it.

“About life, about love, about success. About experiences universal to anyone, whether rich or poor, male or female, educated in school or by life.

“It doesn’t have to be everything all at once. But they use one thing to lead to everything.”

I’m Amanda. I’m a writer.

I’m a writer because I happen to write. The English language is something I can understand and wield. It’s my magic and it’s my tool.

But I’m not just a writer. Like Neil writing stories of love, loss, humanity, acceptance, I want to write things that help, support, encourage, teach, share, heal.

I want to learn about the big things and write about it.

I write to make sense of the world, to empty my brain, and to listen to my heart. To ask myself questions and be surprised by the answers.

I’m also a ghost writer and a realtor.

I write books for people who want to share their knowledge, and help them get published.

Clients include PropNex’s Ismail Gafoor, Lim Yong Hock, Kelvin Fong, and Roy Chong, SingCapital’s Alfred Chia, Vision Law’s Rayney Wong, and Direct Funeral Services’ Jenny Tay and Darren Cheng.

I’ve also interviewed and written profiles for hundreds of successful businesspeople, and wrote for websites and magazines.

You won’t be able to find me though. As a ghost writer my name is hidden from view.

You might find my real estate salesperson’s licence. I’m listed in the CEA website here: https://www.cea.gov.sg/ aceas/public-register/sales/1/94236477-673e-44fd -a4ec-bceda2115443/sales.

As a realtor I’m new. It’s an odd contrast to the years of knowledge I’ve accumulated, working on property books and profiles.

If you’re reading this section because you’re interested in publishing a book, or in taking the next step with your property portfolio, let me know.

I’ll connect you to the right people wherever I can.
